It is on my Literature and War Readalong list this year and I’m really keen to get to it. I thought it was a better choice than Life and Fate because of the length.

I have heard really good things about this book and I want to read it.

I recently finished The Foundation Pit by Andrei Platonov. That work also explores the “contradictory qualities”, the virtues as well as the horrors, of the communist system.

Yes, I am using WordPress. I chose it on the recommendation of a knowledgeable friend, so I can’t say I did any comparison shopping. Before that I had a website, but I was tired of the hosting charges and Microsoft no longer supported the software I was using. I find WordPress simple to use, but I do not try to do anything fancy, just the basics.
